Neil Redfearn provides winning formula as Leeds thrash Huddersfield
NEIL REDFEARN extended his unbeaten run as Leeds caretaker to four games despite finishing with 10 men as the Whites routed Huddersfield Town 3-0 at Elland Road.
Leeds, who are expected to appoint Sturm Graz boss Darko Milanic as their head coach, were already three up thanks to goals from Rudy Austin, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara when Gaetano Berardi picked up his second yellow card.
Redfearn, whose name was chanted by fans during an easy win, said: “This squad can threaten the top six. I’ve told the players the sky is the limit. We were excellent from first whistle to last.”
Huddersfield manager Chris Powell, still awaiting his first win since replacing Mark Robins, said: “I need to iron out the basic mistakes we are making.”
