Aaron Ramsey injury confirms Arsene Wenger's concerns over 3G pitches
ARSENE WENGER still believes 3G pitches should not be used for international football after he was "haunted" by fears that Aaron Ramsey might have to miss a large chunk of the season after injuring himself in Andorra with Wales.

"Yes, I'm relieved because I had been haunted in my head by last year's injury that was much more serious than expected," he said. "At the start it was a little muscular injury and then it was three months.
"But this time, even if he's not completely ready for Saturday, it's a short-term injury."

That said, Wenger still believes Tuesday's international was a disaster waiting to happen.
"There were some bad tackles on an artificial pitch," he said. "There's nothing worse for the players than to change pitches. Unfortunately international competition has gone that way.
"I'm personally against 3G pitches but I can understand the decision from FIFA, because in some countries, sometimes it's better to play on an artificial pitch than on a normal bad pitch."
