Arsenal Transfer Round up - summer 2014
Manchester United were one of three clubs that chased Radamel Falcao on deadline day.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal were also credited with a serious interest.
But Falcao clinched a loan move and he will now earn in excess of £300,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
Danny Welbeck has revealed it was his lifelong wish to move to Arsenal.
Welbeck joined the Gunners from United in a £16million deal on deadline day.
He said: "I've envisaged myself playing in this team before. For it to finally happen is very exciting."
Joel Campbell's agent has blasted the Gunners for not letting his client leave the Emirates.
Benfica apparently failed to meet the Gunners' valuation of the player.
His agent said: "Wenger says he did not want to sell him. But if he is not in his plans, then why not allow him to leave?"
