Bookmakers SUSPEND odds on Manchester United signing £50m-rated Angel Di Maria
MANCHESTER UNITED are edging ever closer to signing Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria with many Bookmakers suspending their betting markets all-together.
Manchester United are now odds on favourites to sign Angel Di Maria
Odds were slashed after Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted that Di Maria had asked to leave the Bernabeu this summer - putting the rumour mill into overdrive.
He said: "Di Maria has asked to leave & rejected offer from club."
The recent revelations mean that after two turbulent months of intense speculation, the elusive Argentinian may finally be on his way to Manchester.
Odds on Di Maria joining United have been slashed continuously throughout the summer, dropping from 10/1 in June to 7/2 in July, and finally 1/3 today.
Bwin have even made the telling decision to suspended offering odds completely.
Bookmakers were similarly correct about Everton's capture of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku earlier this summer.
The Belgian international's odds fell to a drastic 1/5 just days before arriving at Goodison Park.
All eyes will be on Old Trafford with just 13 days of the transfer window remaining.
