Championship Round-Up: Berra roars for Ipswich
CHRISTOPHE BERRA struck deep into stoppage time to grab Ipswich a share of the points at St Andrew’s last night.
David Edgar got his head to a cross from David Cotterill on the half hour to give Birmingham a half-time lead.
Berra equalised soon after the break before Clayton Donaldson’s finish from a swift counter-attack made it 2-1 and looked to have secured the points.
Huddersfield sprang a surprise on Reading, winning 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium.
Jacob Butterfield opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Harry Bunn added a second seven minutes before the break. Simon Cox clawed one back but it wasn’t enough.
Derby slumped to their first loss of the season, with Charlton winning 3-2 at The Valley.
George Tucudean’s early strike was cancelled out by Derby’s James Ward, but deep into first-half stoppage time the Charlton striker won a penalty and Yoni Buyens converted from the spot. Igor Vetokele added a third for the hosts, before Ward made it 3-2.
Susbstitute Magaye Gueye rescued a late point for Millwall against Sheffield Wednesday after a Chris Maguire strike from a free kick had put the Owls ahead.
Two late goals gave Norwich the points 3-1 against Blackburn. Tom Cairney put Rovers ahead inside the first minute before Lewis Grabban equalised. Bradley Johnson and Grabban again sealed the win
Second-half goals from Lloyd Dyer and Gianni Munari were enough for Watford to see off Rotherham 2-0.
Blackpool remain without a point after losing 2-1 to Brentford.
Kike’s second-half strike gave the visiting Middlesbrough a 2-1 win against Bolton after first-half penalties from Craig Davies and Grant Leadbitter.
