Man Utd poised to offer last-gasp bid for Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado
FIORENTINA are bracing themselves for a £32million bid from Manchester United for Colombian dynamo Juan Cuadrado.
Italian reports are confident United chiefs will green-light a £32m deal for the 26-year-old, and could be eligible to play against Sunderland.
United have been considering a bid for Cuadrado for a number of months, but Saturday's defeat at the hands of Swansea has accelerated the Red Devils' pursuit.
Juan Cuadrado - Player Profile
Cuadrado has been plagued by transfer speculation since his sharp rise to prominence, the catalyst of which were his stellar performances for World Cup surprise package Colombia.
Domestic side Fiorentina reacted immediately to enquiries by slapping an inflated £32m price-tag on their coveted star.
Cuadrado would constitute Van Gaal's third signing of a fairly quiet transfer window for United, only Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw have been added to improve last seasons seventh-place finish.
Cuadrado scored 15 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Fiorentina last season and is under contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until June 2017.
