Arsenal to gazump Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea with £51m bid for PSG star Edinson Cavani
ARSENAL look set to trump Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
Reports claim the Gunners are intent on adding the coveted forward to their already impressive ranks, and are willing to part with a sizeable £51m to do so.
Fresh claims have surfaced about Arsene Wenger's interest in the Argentine international - most notably from esteemed Spanish journalist Kike Marin.
Marin says the North London side are monitoring PSG's Angel Di Maria deal, and have not yet ruled out a move for Cavani.
Edinson Cavani Player Profile
Any deal would hinge on PSG's capture of Real Madrid star Di Maria, who, after much speculation, remains at the Bernabeu.
The Parisian side are continuing to explore options to bring Di Maria to the Parc des Princes, but remain constricted by their inability to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations - and must offload before adding to their growing list of stars.
A la espera de lo que suceda con Di María y el #PSG, el #Arsenal no descarta el fichaje de Cavani. Wenger quiere un 9 como el uruguayo.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with moves for Cavani.
However Wenger may continue his aggressive involvement in this summers transfer market to ward off any lingering interest.
