The usually reliable Wayne Rooney had a penalty saved against Valencia, whilst Chelsea's new £32m man netted twice in five minutes.
It's by no means a bad penalty, but United fans would like to have seen Rooney cement his captaincy credentials.

And his second came just four minutes later after a thunderous shot from German star Andre Schurrle rebounded into the path of the alert Costa.
Chelsea chiefs will be relieved to see the former Atletico Madrid man show a glimpse of his potential on English soil.
And will be sure to start against Premier League newcomers Burnley on Monday.
