Bigger than Chelsea? Joe Cole in STUNNING swipe at old club Liverpool
JOE COLE has launched a stunning swipe at his old club Liverpool by blasting them for claiming to be bigger than Chelsea.
The midfielder joined the Reds after being let go by Chelsea back in 2010, but he failed to make an impact at Anfield, clocking up just 26 league appearances.
Cole, who is now trying to revitalise his career at Anfield, has questioned whether Liverpool really are such a big club.
"When I joined, the guy interviewing me said “you’ve joined the biggest club in the country” and reeled off the trophies they’d won," the 32-year-old told CFCUK Fanzine.
"I just said 'Yeah, if you put it like that, I suppose you’re right', and Liverpool used that as the headline to the interview.
