CONFIRMED: Newcastle seal deal for highly rated Dutch international Daryl Janmaat
NEWCASTLE have signed Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat for a fee in the region of £5m
The Dutch defender has put pen to paper on a six-year deal, but won't feature in Newcastle's second pre-season friendly against Sydney on Tuesday 22nd July.
Janmaat constitutes Alan Pardew's second signing in as many days, following French striker Emmanuel Riviere to St. James' Park.
The 24-year-old joins Newcastle on the back of an impressive World Cup with Louis Van Gaal's Dutch side - helping them reach an unexpected third-place finish.
Reports claim Newcastle were not prepared to allow Mathieu Debuchy to make his long awaited switch to Arsenal until a replacement had been found.
