Leeds to make winger Chris Humphrey first signing of summer
LEEDS are looking to make highly-rated Preston winger Chris Humphrey their first signing of the summer transfer window.
Humphrey, who joined Preston from Motherwell last summer on a free, is approaching the final year of his contract at Deepdale.
The 26-year-old was vital in Preston's journey to the play-offs semi-finals last season, with Leeds keeping an eye on his availability after scoring three goals and assisting four.
Leeds want to sign Humphrey this summer
Newly appointed Elland Road boss Dave Hockaday is keen to start building a squad worthy of promotion to the Premier League, and reportedly sees the pacy wide-man as an ideal fit.
The Championship outfit are understood to face competition from Burnley and Wigan in the chase for his signature, while Preston are keen to keep hold of his services.
