CONFIRMED: PSG complete £50m move for Chelsea's David Luiz
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN has completed the transfer of David Luiz from Chelsea, with the Brazil international signing a five-year deal with the French champions.
Luiz joins the Ligue 1 giants for a fee of £50m, making him the world's most expensive defender.
The 27-year-old will arrive at PSG following the World Cup, where he played in Thursday night's opener against Croatia in Sao Paulo.
Luiz said: "Right from the very first contact I had with Paris Saint-Germain, I was very happy.
"It's big club with a great history and a huge project. It has fantastic facilities and a lot of supporters.

It's a new step in my life and I'm impatient to play for Paris
"It's a new step in my life and I'm impatient to play for Paris and show what I can do.
"I also can't wait to play with my new team-mates, the Brazilians, of course, but also everybody else."
The transfer comes a day after Chelsea confirmed the deal of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
PSG paid a reported £33m in 2012 for Thiago Silva, who is now expected to play with his Brazil team-mate Luiz in central defence.
