Charlton saviour Jose Riga accepts job at Blackpool
BLACKPOOL are to appoint former Charlton boss Jose Riga as their new manager.
The Belgian, 56, was in charge at The Valley for just two months but successfully kept Charlton in the Championship after replacing Chris Powell in March.
“We will begin work pretty much straight away on getting a few more players in, so we are not favourites for relegation,” said Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston.
The Seasiders have just half-a-dozen senior players on their books and parted company with ex-Scotland international Barry Ferguson at the end of the season after just beating the drop.
