Man Utd target Thomas Muller reveals 'special relationship' with Louis Van Gaal
BAYERN MUNICH forward Thomas Muller has admitted he has a special relationship with incoming Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal, but insists that doesn't mean he'll necessarily end up at Old Trafford this summer.
Muller is one of a number of Bayern players who have been linked with the Red Devils after Louis Van Gaal took charge earlier this week.
And while the 24-year-old admits that the prospect of playing under Van Gaal again is something that greatly appeals to him, he also believes it would be difficult for him to leave Bayern.
He told Bild: "It's no secret that Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes a little beyond the normal relationship between coaches and players.
"[But] I have a contract with Bayern Munich until summer 2017.
Louis van Gaal - The Facts
It's no secret that Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes a little beyond the normal relationship between coaches and players.
"I am really enjoying playing for Bayern.
"There really is nothing better than this."
It now remains to be seen whether Van Gaal can use his special relationship to persuade Muller to turn his back on the club where he came through the ranks or whether the star is serious about staying put.
