TEAM NEWS: Chamberlain and Vermaelen face fitness race for FA Cup final
ARSENAL pair Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thomas Vermaelen will be assessed ahead of the FA Cup final against Hull on Saturday (5pm).
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been out with a groin injury since the league clash with the Tigers on April 20, but has been included in Roy Hodgson's England World Cup squad.
And the midfielder faces a race against time to play a part in Arsenal's cup final before heading to Brazil.
Defender Vermaelen missed the season finale at Norwich after having five stitches in his knee and is also a doubt to play Hull.
Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby all returned from injury in the 2-0 win at Carrow Road last weekend.
But Arsene Wenger faces a selection dilemma on whether to start No 1 Wojciech Szczesny or FA Cup ever-present Lukasz Fabianski.
Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry (both knee) remain absent.
Arsenal provisional squad: Szczesny, Fabianski, Sagna, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Monreal, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Rosicky, Arteta, Flamini, Diaby, Ramsey, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Ozil, Kallstrom, Podolski, Giroud.
