Doncaster 1 - Reading 3: Pavel keeps dream alive
RUSSIAN ace Pavel Pogrebnyak turned up trumps to keep the Royals on course for the play-offs. But Doncaster face a last-day cliffhanger at champions Leicester after their first-half lead was wiped out.
Reading now need to beat Burnley at home next week to make sure this recovery counts.
Rovers took the lead when James Coppinger headed home Billy Sharp’s 25th-minute cross. The Royals hadn’t had a shot on target when Adam Le Fondre was brought down in the penalty area by Paul Quinn on 62 minutes, and the striker got up and drilled his spot kick home.
Then, on 86 minutes, Pogrebnyak headed home the clincher then grabbed a third in added time.
Doncaster boss Paul Dickov said: ‘‘We’ll fight for our lives at Leicester.’’
