Man Utd's hopes of landing Toni Kroos rejected by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
TONI KROOS' chances of moving to Manchester United in the summer appear to be dead in the water following Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's latest comment.
The 24-year-old has so far stalled over a new deal and has attracted the leading lights in Europe including Real Madrid.
United are planning on a major rebuilding programme in the summer which started with Juan Mata's £37.5 million arrival in January.
Kroos had already dropped a hint earlier this year about his desire to play in the Premier League when he said: "It is no secret that the Premier League is a possibility for me.
"But no one has come to any agreement with me and it will stay like this until the summer and, some time, a decision will be made.
Toni Kroos is sure to play in a Bayern Munich shirt next year as well
"It is also no secret that the Premier League is not a bad league."
But Rummenigge has put a spanner in the works on the eve of Bayern's Champions League clash with United by claiming he is confident Kroos won't leave the Allianz Arena.
He said: "Toni Kroos is sure to play in a Bayern Munich shirt next year as well."
Kroos, whose current contract expires next year, has hit four goals for the Bundesliga champions this term.
