Ex-Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink to replace Louis van Gaal as Netherlands boss
EX-CHELSEA boss Guus Hiddink will take over from Louis van Gaal, who has been touted as a future Manchester United and Tottenham manager, as Netherlands coach after the World Cup.
Hiddink will take charge of the Netherlands until the end of the 2016 European Championships before being replaced by his assistant coach Danny Blind.
Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was also appointed as one of Hiddink's assistants.
"I am honoured to return as coach for the Dutch team," Hiddink said.

"With Danny Blind and Ruud van Nistelrooy, we have a solid team with a lot of football knowledge and experience.
"It is wonderful that I can oversee my own succession. In this way the football vision for the Dutch team in the long term can be guaranteed."
Van Gaal steered the Netherlands to the World Cup final in 2010 where they lost 1-0 to Spain.
