Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen: We're not afraid now
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN claims Tottenham have conquered their fears after new manager Tim Sherwood accused the players of being “too afraid” when he took over from Andre Villas-Boas.
After a 6-0 drubbing at Manchester City last month, Tottenham froze in Liverpool’s headlights at White Hart Lane on December 15 and the 5-0 defeat prompted the club to part with Villas-Boas by mutual consent.
Since then Sherwood has delivered seven points from nine and twice Spurs have managed three goals in a game. And ahead of the trip to Old Trafford tomorrow, Eriksen said: “The coach is telling us to play more freely. We have seen that in games.

“When he started, he said it looked like we were a little bit afraid. We shouldn’t be afraid, just play and then see if you are any good. If we dare, we have a really good team and good chances.”
And team-mate Mousa Dembele, who helped beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s side 3-2 at Old Trafford last September, said: “It has been quite good for me playing there to be honest – I am not scared to go there.”
