Former Spurs star Gareth Bale puts aside injury worry as he eyes Real return
GARETH BALE could be in contention to return to action for Real Madrid at the weekend.
The mercurial Welshman cost Los Blancos £85m though has made just one start due to his ongoing thigh injury.
Spanish paper Marca had previously reported that Bale had slipped a disc although Real refuted this story.
And Real president Florentino Perez believes Bale could play against Malaga.
"[He is] calm and ready, waiting to play on Saturday," he told Spanish radio programme Punto Pelota.
"Everyone knows that, because he didn't have a good pre-season, he suffered from muscle fatigue in the thigh.
"He is training well and wants to play and show that all this is just something over nothing.
"A big deal has been made out of something normal."
