Brad Guzan ready to snub Arsenal to stay at Aston Villa
ASTON VILLA'S American goalkeeper Brad Guzan has shrugged off speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger has had Guzan watched on multiple occasions this season, and was thought to be considering a move for the 29-year-old after being impressed by his start to the season.
But Guzan signed a new four-year deal at Villa Park over the summer and claims he wants to repay Paul Lambert's faith in him by remaining at the club.
He said: "Aston Villa, they've stuck by me, especially the manager. He's given me a chance to play consistent football in Europe.
"It's always nice when you're linked with other teams, but for me, I'm very happy at Aston Villa."
And Guzan believes better times are ahead at Villa, something he wants to be a part of.
He added: "It's a club that I think is definitely on the rise, and it's something I want to be a part of."
