Middlesbrough 3 - Bournemouth 3: Jonathan Woodgate's own goal was costly
JONATHAN WOODGATE'S late own-goal cost Middlesbrough after a spirited fightback.
Bournemouth got off to a flyer with two Brett Pitman spot-kicks inside the first 12 minutes.
But Kei Kamara fired in before Mustapha Carayol levelled with a deflected effort before the break.
Grant Leadbitter looked to have snatched the win but Woodgate turned in from Elliot Ward’s cross.Boro manager Tony Mowbray said: “The overriding emotion is disappointment and frustration.
“All the hard work and positivity could have been washed away but they showed what they’re made of to get back to 2-2 by half-time.”
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said: “It was entertaining if you’re a neutral but for us it was torture.”
