Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech wanted by Barcelona
BARCELONA are set to replace current No 1 Victor Valdes with either Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech or Liverpool's Pepe Reina next summer.
Valdes will leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent, with the 31-year-old expected to move abroad.
And the La Liga champions will fill the void of the Spanish international by raiding the Premier League, with Chelsea's Cech and Liverpool's Reina on their radar.
Reports last week stated that Reina is set to seal a switch to boyhood club Barca when his loan deal with Napoli expires at the end of the current campaign, with Liverpool happy to offload his wages after signing Simon Mignolet from Sunderland.
But Blues stopper Cech is another option for the the Spaniards, according to Catalan sports paper Mundo Deportivo.
The future of Cech is under threat with on-loan keeper Thibaut Courtois set to return to Stamford Bridge next summer after finishing his third season with Atletico Madrid.
While Jose Mourinho admires 31-year-old Cech, he has been impressed by Courtois, 21, who is the current first-choice for Belgium.
Chelsea have a puzzle to solve involving Cech and Courtois, while the undecided futures of Valdes and Reina resemble a goalkeeping Rubik's Cube to be worked out next summer.
Courtois recently blasted suggestions he could be set switch Madrid for Barcelona without returning to west London, before firing a warning to Cech that he will fight for his place first-team next season.
And if Cech become available Barca will make a move for the Czech international, with Reina a back-up option.
