Nottingham Forest 3 - Bolton 0: Jamie Mackie’s the main man
THIS time last year Jamie Mackie was testing himself against the Premier League’s best – in 12 months time he could be again.
The ex-QPR forward took less than two minutes to put Bolton to the sword as Forest ran riot.
Andy Reid’s well-controlled half-volley on 50 minutes and Henri Lansbury’s 65th-minute diving header made it a comfortable afternoon for Billy Davies’ side, who look every inch promotion contenders even at this early stage.
Bolton are considered one of the division’s most-fancied sides too, but their efforts for a response proved to be rather tame.
Their day went from bad to worse as Darren Pratley was dismissed on 54 minutes for a second yellow card after a late challenge on Chris Cohen.
