Newcastle United have made contact over a move for Gomis
The Magpies' interest in the 27-year-old is well documented following his electrifying displays last season.
Gomis, who has one year left to run on his current contract, scored 16 goals in 37 games last season.
Pardew is desperate to add firepower to his front line, and his need to make attacking reinforcements has become his priority as the dispute with Papiss Cisse and his refusal to wear the club's shirt shows no signs of abating.
Newcastle are thought to have contacted the Ligue 1 outfit, and Pardew believes Gomis would fit in well at St James's Park.
