Martin Skrtel is determined to break back into the Liverpool first team again
After being dislodged from the first team by now retired defensive stalwart, Jamie Carragher last season, his Anfield career was shrouded in doubt.
His agent, Karol Csonto fuelled speculation that a move to the Serie A outfit could be on the cards, suggesting that he will evaluate the situation should they establish contact.
But Rafa Benitez's chances of linking up again with Skrtel appear to be remote following the Slovakian's latest comments.
"It wasn't my best season and I know I made a few mistakes," Skrtel told the Liverpool Daily Post.
"It could've been better and I will do my best to improve and be better in the future.

"I can always learn something new. I will try to improve my positional play and my game with the ball.
"Every single day I can improve something and that is what I will try to do."
