Christian Benitez has emerged as a potential target for Spurs
The ex-Birmingham City striker is believed to be a £9m target, as Andre Villas-Boas has made it a priority to buy a proven goalscorer.
The 27-year-old has been irrepressible for Mexican outfit Club America, topping the scoring charts in the past three seasons.
And Club America's president, Ricardo Pelaez, says he will listen to offers.
"There could be a good offer for Christian from Tottenham," Pelaez told a British newspaper.
"I've spoken with him and he wants to return to Europe. We won't clip his wings if we get an offer that suits us.
Spurs have also set their sights on Leandro Damiao

"Of course there are bids for him, he has been the league's top scorer three times after all.
"He is a great guy and a magnificent player. He is under contract but we'll look to see what is the best option."
