David Pizarro's uncle talks up surprise Manchester City return
FIORENTINA midfielder David Pizarro has been tipped with a surprise return to Manchester City.
The Chile international failed to leave a lasting impression after making seven appearances for the Citizens during the 2011/12 season.
After becoming a permanent fixture for La Viola since signing joining from Roma, it seems that he is ready once again for a fresh challenge.
The Citizens, who are expecting to confirm Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, have already struck a deal for Sevilla winger Jesus Navas for an initial £17m fee which is expected to rise to £24m following add-ons.
Pizarro's uncle, Aurelio Cortez, has hinted at a return to City for his nephew.
"Once David signed autographs with the number eight but now he has changed to ten as that is his number for Chile and his next club, I think Pellegrini's Manchester City or AS Roma."
Pizarro netted once for City during his loan spell.
