Chelsea warned of Jose Mourinho 'disaster' as 'The Special One' return edges closer
BARCELONA chief Carles Vilarrubi has told Chelsea that Jose Mourinho's return to the club could be a 'disaster', as reports claim 'the Special One' has been confirmed as Rafa Benitez's replacement.
Chelsea have reportedly confirmed that Mourinho will rejoin the West London club this summer, after agreeing a £40 million four-year-deal earlier this week.
However, Barcelona vice-president Vilarrubi warned the Premier League side that the 50-year-old may not be quite what the Blues remember.
"It is not good for English football," claimed Vilarrubi. "Chelsea maybe think they had a good time from him in the past, but you will see the real Mourinho now.
"If he behaves like he did in Spain it will only be an unhappy relationship. A disaster.
"Apart from his aggression to the coach of Barca, the ambience he creates everywhere he goes, the relations with the players, with the press, are absolutely terrible. I am happy that he is leaving. And so is everyone in Spanish football."
Mourinho angered Real's rivals Barcelona in 2011 when he gouged the eye of former assistant manager Tito Vilanova - now the head coach - during the closing stages of an ill-tempered Supercopa Clasico.
The Portuguese tactician is fondly remembered in England, but during his spell in Italy with Inter Milan and throughout his tenure in the Spanish capital he had a rocky relationship with media and fans alike.
