Lazar Markovic plays down 'done deal' with Chelsea
CHELSEA transfer target Lazar Markovic has denied that he has agreed a deal with the Blues.
The Partizan Belgrade striker has been a long-term target of Chelsea, as he is one of the brightest prospects in the European game.
Markovic has friends in England, including compatriot and Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic.
Recent reports suggested that a £10m deal had been agreed between the two clubs, but Markovic rubbished the claims.
He told Serbian paper Sportski Zurnal: "It is true. I was in London, I toured around London and I was also at Stamford Bridge.
"I met my team-mate from national team Branislav Ivanovic, we talked a little bit.
"I also met people from Chelsea, but it is not true that I have signed anything yet or something like that. There is no contract, not a even a pre-contract.
"I had a great time there but it is far from being over."
Markovic is yet to open his account for Partizan this season.
