Blackpool 4 – Middlesbrough 1: Nathan Delfouneso sinks Boro
BLACKPOOL thrashed Middlesbrough 4-1 with Nathan Delfouneso striking twice.
The striker, on loan from Aston Villa, produced two cool finishes to put Blackpool in control.
Andre Bikey headed a goal back for Boro but Delfouneso set up Tom Ince for Blackpool's third before Elliot Grandin scored a fourth from the penalty spot.
Blackburn remained top with Jordan Rhodes scoring his third goal in as many games in a 2-1 win over Barnsley.
Jacob Mellis shot Barnsley ahead but Rhodes finished expertly from Mortern Gamst Pedersen's knock-on to level before half-time.
Nuno Gomes turned in a cross by Fabio Nunes for the winner late on.
Hull came from behind to beat Yorkshire rivals Leeds 3-2. Leeds took the lead through Luciano Becchio's eighth-minute penalty. Ahmed Elmohamady equalised before setting up Abdoulaye Faye to head in his third goal in successive games.
The Egyptian set up Robert Koren to add a third in the 76th minute. Andy Gray headed in a consolation for Leeds.
Marlon King's penalty gave Birmingham a 2-1 win over Bolton, who lost for the fourth time on the road this season.
