Brendan Rodgers says no to Liverpool job
BRENDAN Rodgers has refused to take the job at Liverpool after speculation that he could be in line to replace Dalglish.
The Swansea boss turned down the opportunity to hold talks with Liverpool over the manager job, it is understood.
Roberto Martinez has also been targeted for talks over the position at Anfield and Liverpool bosses were hoping to target Rodgers as well.
Kenny Dalglish was sacked from Liverpool earlier this week after finishing a disappointing eighth in the premier league.
Former Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas and Pep Guardiola have also been rumoured to be in line job.

Rodgers, 39, who signed a new three and a half year deal with Swansea in February has also been linked to Chelsea and Tottenham after guiding Swansea to 11th place in the premier league.
The Welsh club rounded off their season by beating Liverpool 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium, a fixture which proved to be Dalglish's last in charge of the Reds.
Swansea's attractive possession style of play also won former Reading and Watford manager Rodgers plenty of admirers, and chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted the Swans will have to become used to their boss being linked with other clubs.
But the decision to reject an approach from one of the British game's traditional powers represents a major boost to the Welsh side as they look to build on a promising start to life in the top flight.
