Injury rules out John Terry
CHELSEA captain John Terry will miss his team’s clash at Swansea tonight with a niggling knee injury – the day before his court case.
Terry originally damaged the knee in Chelsea’s FA Cup third-round win over Portsmouth on January 8.
He has played three times since colliding with one of the posts in his team’s 4-0 success against the Championship side, but has sustained bruising on the joint.
Chelsea’s medical staff have also confirmed fluid on the knee, so Terry has been rested.
He is not expected to be at tomorrow’s opening of his case at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where he faces charges of a racially aggravated public order offence against QPR’s Anton Ferdinand.
Gary Cahill, a £7million signing from Bolton, will make his debut.
