Barnsley 2 - Swansea 4: Strong Swans glide through
NEIL TAYLOR has backed Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers’ decision to send out a full-strength team in the victory at Barnsley, even though his side could still be dragged into a Premier League relegation scrap.
Defender Taylor, above, said: “We’re 12th in the league and we want to keep that form going. Players grow in confidence when they put in good performances.
“The FA Cup is always special. We put out a strong team because we’re in the competition to win it.” Swansea made round four after goals by Danny Graham (two), Nathan Dyer and Angel Rangel.
Ricardo Vaz Te scored Barnsley’s pair, but he was criticised by boss Keith Hill for a defensive lapse.
Hill said: “With the ball in front of goal, Ricardo was superb. But without the ball, he was responsible for the fourth. It’s not good enough.”
