Arsenal could still make a handful of late signings before the transfer window slams shut this evening. The Gunners have already dipped into the market to improve their squad but there is time for more deals to be done ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.

They kicked off their summer business by bringing David Raya back to the club on a permanent basis, with Riccardo Calafiori also joining from Bologna. Mikel Merino became Arsenal's third summer signing earlier this week, arriving from Real Sociedad.

With just hours until the window closes, there is not much time left for clubs to do business with each other. However, a few surprises are likely to be thrown up on deadline day, which suggests that further movement at Arsenal should not be ruled out.

Coman joins from Bayern Munich

Arsenal are said to be exploring a potential move for Kingsley Coman, with Mikel Arteta eager to sign another forward. However, they will face stiff competition for his signature with major interest coming from Saudi Arabia, according to the Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Coman could move for around £34million, a relatively modest fee for a proven winner of his calibre. He would be able to provide quality cover for Bukayo Saka while also challenging the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard for regular minutes.

Toney snubs Chelsea for Arsenal

Arteta has played down the idea of bringing in another striker but there is still time for Arsenal to beat Chelsea to the signing of Ivan Toney. The Blues are said to be battling Al-Ahli in the race to land the England international, who is expected to leave Brentford before the deadline.

Toney has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal in the past, which could swing proceedings in their favour should they decide to enter the fray. He is thought to be valued at £50m by Brentford, where he is only tied down until the end of the current season.

Garcia joins to replace Ramsdale

Arsenal could secure the perfect end to the window by finalising their move for Espanyol stopper Joan Garcia to replace Aaron Ramsdale. The latter is set to join Southampton on a permanent basis in a deal worth £18m, with another £7m due in potential add-ons.

It has been reported that Arsenal have already settled on personal terms with Garcia, who recently won Olympic gold as part of the Spain squad. He is said to have a release clause of around £25.7m written into his Espanyol contract, with the Gunners able to bypass club negotiations by matching it.
