"The project that the football leadership discussed with me is extremely exciting - Manchester United is an ambitious club and I am an ambitious player. The passion of supporters is something that is very important to me, I know how incredible United fans are and I cannot wait to experience Old Trafford.

"I’m someone who is so determined to succeed, I will sacrifice and give everything for my team-mates. Together we will fight to win trophies and reach the level where this club needs to be."

Man Utd confirm Aljofree loan

Manchester United have confirmed that 19-year-old centre-back Sonny Aljofree has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan for the rest of the season.

The club posted a statement that read: "Good luck during your time with Accrington, Sonny!"

Man Utd set for payday

Manchester United could be in line for a big payday, with talkSPORT reporting that Newcastle are exploring a big-money move for former winger Anthony Elanga.

The Red Devils sold Elanga to Nottingham Forest last summer but reportedly inserted a sell-on clause into the deal.

So if Elanga does put pen-to-paper on a contract at St James’ Park, United would be handed part of the transfer fee, which would come in handy further down the line.

Antony to stay at Old Trafford

Manchester United winger Antony was linked with a move away from Old Trafford ahead of tonight’s deadline after failing to start either of his side’s first two Premier League matches.

But transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Brazilian’s proposed loan move to Real Betis is not happening as he wants to stay where he is.

Man Utd awaiting approval

Manchester United are awaiting Premier League approval before they can sign 16-year-old striker Chido Obi-Martin, according to the Manchester Evening News.

United are said to have already reached an agreement to sign Obi-Martin, who bagged 32 goals for Arsenal at under-18s level. The player’s contract at the Emirates Stadium has expired, but the 13-time Premier League champions can’t complete a deal until a fee is paid to the Gunners.

Chelsea submit Jadon Sancho offer

Chelsea have submitted a loan offer for Jadon Sancho, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United are keen to offload the England international before the summer transfer window closes, though they would have favoured a permanent sale.

Chelsea’s loan offer is similar to the proposal made by Juventus earlier this week, though with a ‘higher total package’. Sancho is keen to join Chelsea.

Dan Ashworth hints at another deadline day deal

Manchester United sporting director Dan Ashworth has hinted that his side have another deal in the pipeline.

Speaking after the Europa League draw on Friday, he said: “I had a few missed calls [during the draw]. I kept getting nudged by Sir Dave Brailsford!

“My phone was vibrating. Let’s see what happens. The window is still open. We’ve got some conversations going on..."

Man Utd eye second Chelsea outcast

Manchester United have reportedly registered an interest in signing Chelsea playmaker Carney Chukwuemeka.

According to Sky Sports, a deal has been ‘explored’ which will be separate from Jadon Sancho’s potential move to Stamford Bridge.

The Red Devils have already registered an interest in acquiring the services of Raheem Sterling from the Blues, though Arsenal are also in the frame to sign the England international.

Erik ten Hag addresses key departure

Erik ten Hag has hinted that he is unhappy that Manchester United have sold Scott McTominay.

The Scotland international has joined Napoli in a move which has raised funds for further incomings.

But Ten Hag is not truly pleased with the decision, saying: “I'm very happy for him, but it's a mixed feeling because I would have preferred not to lose him. He was very important to us. He has Manchester United in his veins, but the academy players are more valuable [to PSR]."

Manuel Ugarte blow

Manchester United have failed to sign Manuel Ugarte in time to feature against Liverpool this weekend, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The midfielder was hoping to feature in the Red Devils’ matchday squad at Old Trafford, though the higher powers at the club felt it would be a ‘stretch’.

Ugarte was not in line to start the match as he had not featured regularly for PSG in pre-season and is therefore lacking match fitness.

Europa League draw

Away from transfers for just a moment, the Europa League draw has taken place.

The new League Phase will see United face eight sides, which are…

Jadon Sancho asking price reduced

Manchester United are willing to part ways with Jadon Sancho for just £25million today, reports The Athletic.

The Red Devils are keen to offload the England international as soon as possible, with a permanent sale favoured.

As a result, United have lowered their asking price for the winger to £25m in the hope of enticing suitors into a quick-fire deal.

Another loan move for Sancho is not being ruled out either.

Youngster set for EFL loan

Manchester United youngster Sonny Aljofree is reportedly on the cusp of joining Accrington Stanley on loan.

According to The Mirror, the 19-year-old had interest from a host of clubs but Accrington are on course to win the race to secure his signature.

Aljofree is highly regarded by the Red Devils and captains their Under-21 side.

Ugarte signs United contract

Manuel Ugarte has now signed his contract with Manchester United, reports Fabrizio Romano.

An announcement of the deal is expected today.

Toney set for deadline day move

Ivan Toney's future looks set to be resolved imminently.

Brentford have accepted a £35million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli, according to L'Equipe.

The Saudi Pro League side have a few extra days to negotiate as the country's window doesn't shut until September 2.

United dealt major Raheem Sterling blow

Manchester United have been handed a significant blow in their pursuit of Raheem Sterling.

According to GiveMeSport, the Chelsea star would favour a move to Arsenal over the Red Devils.

The Gunners have been offered the chance to sign the England international but a deal with Chelsea is not close at this stage as the Blues would need to agree to contributing to the forward’s wages at the Emirates Stadium.

United still have hope of signing Sterling, with a swap deal involving Jadon Sancho being discussed by Chelsea.

Two deals set to be announced

Manchester United are expected to be very busy today, with several deals set to be announced.

According to The Telegraph, Scott McTominay’s move to Napoli will be unveiled officially today, as well as Manuel Ugarte’s arrival at Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen whether any other deals go to the wire on what promises to be a dramatic day of action.

Juventus cool their interest in Jadon Sancho

Juventus have decided to pull the plug on their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Serie A outfit and Chelsea have been battling it out to sign United’s castaway over the past few days, but Thiago Motta’s side have now left the race.

Juve have ruled that the finances involved in signing Sancho were ‘too high’, especially as they are content with their current crop of forwards.

Prem rival joins race to sign Ben Chilwell

Manchester United will need to act quickly if they are to win the race to sign Ben Chilwell.

The defender is expected to leave Chelsea today after being publicly transfer listed by Enzo Maresca, and the Red Devils are among those to have been linked with the England international.

However, they are not alone in their admiration of the left-back.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Brentford contacted Chelsea on Thursday to enquire about Chilwell’s situation.

The ex-Leicester City star was expected to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis this week, but with such little time left in the window, it remains to be seen whether loan approaches are entertained as well.

Ugarte race is on after medical passed

Manuel Ugarte has completed his United medical ahead of his £50.7m move from PSG, and now the race is on to get him registered.

United want to sign up the 23-year-old by midday on Friday to be available for Sunday's home game against Liverpool, especially with Mason Mount ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury.

United agreed a fee on Monday night after United’s Jason Wilcox headed to Paris to finalise negotiations.

Wilcox was joined in the French capital by Matt Hargreaves, the club's director of player negotiations, who cobbled the terms together after Ugarte had long since agreed personal arrangements with the club.

Liverpool may aid Utd cash injection

The transfer window works in strange ways.

United are keen to sanction the permanent sale of Jadon Sancho before Friday's deadline, and the actions of bitter rivals Liverpool may now have increased the likelihood of this happening.

Juve have a precarious financial position, needing to balance the books carefully in order to adhere with Serie A and UEFA regulations.

Bringing in Sancho, on sizeable wages, is something the Old Lady could only realistically do after permitting one of their big names to leave.

On cue, Liverpool have today concuded the move for Federico Chiesa, who has freed up around £80,000-per-week on the wage bill, and opened an attacking spot for Sancho to fill.

It is understood that Juve are set to accelerate talks with United well into deadline day, in hope a late agreement can be struck.

INEOS will seriously consider Sterling

Raheem Sterling could yet pull on a United shirt before the week is over.

The discussions internally within the club are taking place, but United's INEOS chiefs are adamant that the issue regarding Sterling remains one which is Chelsea's to solve.

Sky Sports transfer expert Darmesh Sheth has since shed a little further light on the unfolding situation.

He told Givemesport: "Manchester United is clearly going to be one of those options.

"Now this has come more from the Chelsea end, because they are offering Sterling to United. Now, United, make no mistake about it, if Sancho was to go, they don't actually need to replace Sancho.

"They feel they've got enough quality and quantity in the forward lines to be able to deal with the Sancho departure.

"However, the idea of Sterling is something that they are considering, but they still maintain that the Sterling issue is a Chelsea issue, so they would be willing to allow Sancho to leave regardless of whether Raheem Sterling was to come to Manchester United or not."

Toney message delivered to Old Trafford

The clearest indication yet of Ivan Toney's transfer away from Brentford has been issued, after boss Thomas Frank spoke out on this weekend's fixture.

Toney must secure a move away from the Bees within the next 48hours in order to wrap up a transfer before the UK deadline, with United and Chelsea still in the reckoning.

Frank has now confirmed that Toney will not be playing for the club this weekend. The striker has yet to make an appearance for Brentford this season as he seeks to settle his future at the Gtech Community Stadium before Friday's deadline and the closing of the Saudi Pro League window on Monday.

"I can say Ivan will not play on Saturday," Frank announced at his pre-match press conference on Thursday. "Ivan is training well, is in good spirits and I am happy to answer more questions about Ivan next time.."

Ugarte drops Darwin Nunez comment

The soon-to-be marquee signing is known to be close friends with international team-mate Darwin Nunez.

The duo will soon be sworn Premier League rivals, but that hasn't stopped Ugarte already speaking out on the Liverpool man this week.

"Darwin [Nunez] had moments where he was killed badly, and that is also something that has a lot of merit when you see where he is today," Ugarte told Uruguayan broadcaster Channel 10.

"You have to be in the right head to get to where he got to with all the damage he got.

"When I see a teammate get hit, I sometimes feel like the next day it could be me, because people kill you the way they put you up there.

"The best thing is to surround yourself with people you love and trust, and not give the ball to the net, because that’s how the net is nowadays."

Mount releases statement

It's really not looking good for Mason Mount.

A year on from his £60m move and inheriting the prestigious No.7 shirt, things have not gone to plan.

Injuries have stopped the former Chelsea man featuring. He was expected to play a huge role at the start of the new season, but now things have taken a turn.

On Thursday, Mount and his team released a statement.

United offer Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United have offered Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund, reports GiveMeSport.

Chelsea and Juventus are both pushing to sign the England international, though Dortmund are now in the frame to sign the winger.

The Bundesliga outfit are considering tabling a ‘last-minute rescue package’ to re-sign the 24-year-old after last season’s short-term loan deal.

United have informed Sancho that they are pushing him towards Dortmund in a desperate attempt to get him off of their books.

Two clubs reject Victor Lindelof

Serie A sides Lazio and Fiorentina have reportedly rejected the chance to pursue Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio were ‘never convinced’ by the acquisition of the Sweden international and were not willing to open talks for the defender due to his wage demands.

Fiorentina opted against the deal as they were not willing to pay a fee to sign the centre-back, ruling that they will only sign Lindelof if United terminated his contract with the club.

United 'mulling over' Sterling pursuit

Manchester United are ‘mulling over’ whether to formalise their interest in Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, reports Manchester Evening News.

A swap deal involving Jadon Sancho has been discussed by both clubs, though those talks are not advanced at this stage.

The Red Devils are hoping to complete the signing of Manuel Ugarte today.

Scott McTominay arrives in Italy

Scott McTominay has arrived in Italy ahead of his move to Napoli.

Supporters flocked the airport to catch a glimpse of the Manchester United academy graduate.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe urged to make Ivan Toney approach

Premier League legend Alan Shearer has urged United to consider a move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

The England international has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this week, but Shearer believes he should snub the approaches in favour of joining the Red Devils if an approach is made.

He told Betfair: “He only has one year left on his contract, and I understand why some players would want to go to Saudi Arabia, but for someone like him who's in the prime of his career, he's got another four or five years ahead of him and I would hope that he stays in English football because I think he has a lot to offer.

“I am slightly surprised that Man United haven't enquired about him. Maybe they have, maybe there's something brewing behind the scenes that we don't know about, but I think he'd do pretty well at Old Trafford.”

United looking to find new suitor for fringe star

Manchester United are reportedly hoping to offload Victor Lindelof before the transfer window closes.

According to Manchester World, the Red Devils are ‘actively looking to find a buyer’ for the Sweden international.

The defender has slipped further down the pecking order at Old Trafford as a result of several incomings, though a recent injury has made finding a suitor tricky for United.

Jadon Sancho makes Chelsea stance clear

Jadon Sancho is reportedly ‘holding out’ for an offer from Chelsea, amid interest from Juventus.

The Blues have shortlisted the winger as a target and talks have been held over a swap deal which would see Raheem Sterling head to Old Trafford.

According to The Guardian, Juventus are pushing to sign Sancho but Sancho is waiting for an offer from Chelsea.

The Serie A are persisting with their efforts to sign the England international on loan despite the player making his stance clear.

Second medical taking place

Young midfielder Sekou Kone is currently undergoing his medical with Manchester United, reports Fussball.News.

The Malian playmaker arrived in England last night and is now hoping to finalise his move to the Red Devils by tonight.

United had to fend off interest from several other top clubs to win the race to sign Kone, with the teenager viewed as a top acquisition.

Prem side register interest in Kingsley Coman

An unnamed Premier League side has made contact with the camp of Kingsley Coman to learn more about his situation, according to Sky Sports.

The winger is keen to leave Bayern Munich this week and has been linked with a host of English sides previously, such as Manchester United and Arsenal.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are pushing to sign the France international and have tabled a lucrative contract in the hope of turning his head.

Raheem Sterling offer set to be made

Manchester United are reportedly willing to offer Raheem Sterling a £150,000-per-week contract at Old Trafford.

GiveMeSport report that the Red Devils view the England international as a squad player and therefore his salary at the club would reflect that.

Sterling currently earns £325,000 per week at Chelsea, and his immense wages has been a sticking point in negotiations with suitors since it became clear that he did not have a future under Enzo Maresca.

The Red Devils are not willing to come close to matching those demands as they view the winger as a ‘back up for Marcus Rashford’.

Manuel Ugarte announcement planned

Manuel Ugarte has successfully passed his medical with Manchester United, reports Sky Sports Germany.

After weeks of negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, the midfielder is expected to be announced as a United player today.

The 23-year-old was shortlisted as a top target at Old Trafford this summer, and it remains to be seen whether he is their final incoming of the window.
