England will face Spain in the Euro 2024 final today in what could prove to a momentous day in the history of English football. The Three Lions have reached the European Championship final for a second consecutive tournament after beating the Netherlands 2-1 in the semis on Wednesday.
Gareth Southgate's men now have the opportunity to make amends for their heartbreaking defeat at Wembley three years ago, when they lost to Italy in a cruel penalty shootout.
It has proved to be a testing tournament after a sub-par group stage performance, with England only winning one of their three games. But Southgate's heroes have made steady progress in seeing off Slovakia, Switzerland and the Netherlands on their way to the final at the Olympiastadion.

Few would deny Spain have been the standout team in the tournament, winning all six of their matches in normal time en route to Sunday's showdown in Berlin - including an impressive 2-1 dismantling of France.
It's a game that no English football fan would want to miss, with millions of fans around the UK expected to tune in.

England vs Spain TV channel
Unlike England's other six matches in the tournament, the final will be available to watch on two different free-to-air television channels from 7pm.
As part of a long-standing agreement, BBC and ITV have agreed to share coverage of the matches evenly throughout the tournament. But for the final, viewers can take their pick between watching the game on BBC1 or ITV1.
BBC's coverage will feature Gary Lineker as the presenter, with pundits including Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard. ITV's programme is headed up by Mark Pougatch and Laura Woods, and former England internationals Gary Neville and Ian Wright join Roy Keane in the studio.

BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds will provide build-up coverage to the match from 6pm with Mark Chapman, before live commentary begins at 8pm.
Alternatively, you can follow along on talkSPORT, who will have live coverage of the game presented by Adrian Durham. Commentary will be provided by Jim Proudfoot and co-commentator Stuart Pearce.
