Kylian Mbappe was one of the world's best-paid players at Paris Saint-Germain, but his salary is now comparatively modest having made the switch to Real Madrid. The Frenchman's bank account will be boosted by a whopping £85million signing-on bonus, but his basic weekly wage puts him below a number of surprising Premier League figures.
Mbappe reportedly earned more than £1m per week at PSG, with the French club's owners offering a mind-blowing contract to prevent him joining Real in 2023. Now Bernabeu-bound a year later, the 25-year-old's pay has fallen to approximately £250,000 per week.
In total, 10 Premier League stars are believed to earn more, including two players frozen out of Chelsea's first team and a Manchester City ace who found starts hard to come by last campaign.
Romelu Lukaku hasn't made a competitive appearance for Chelsea since 2021/22. The Belgian scored 15 goals that season after signing from Inter Milan for £98.5m, but that evidently wasn't enough for Blues chiefs to fight his corner as he has spent the last two campaigns out on loan.
Lukaku reportedly earns an eye-watering £325,000 per week, but he may not do so for long, as Chelsea are hoping to cash in this summer if an interested party is prepared to meet their £38m asking price.
Fellow Chelsea man Raheem Sterling is reported to be on exactly the same wage. The 29-year-old was their third-top-scorer in the Premier League last term, but six of the seven appearances he made since late March came from the substitutes' bench.

City winger Jack Grealish struggled with hamstring trouble early in 2023/24 and found minutes hard to come by throughout the whole campaign. With only 10 Premier League starts, the former Aston Villa star was a peripheral figure as Pep Guardiola's side romped to a fourth consecutive Premier League crown.
Grealish is believed to pocket £300,000 per week, making him one of the best-paid players in England's top flight. His meagre haul of four goal contributions last season pales in comparison to the 34 Mbappe managed in Ligue 1.

And the French international is widely expected to bring that goalscoring form with him to La Liga, where Real will begin next season as the reigning league and Champions League winners under Carlo Ancelotti.
Along with Grealish, Sterling and Lukaku; the Man City trio of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and Casemiro, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Arsenal man Kai Havertz will also pocket more than Mbappe in basic wages next term.
