St Johnstone are hoping Brown’s failure to even make the bench for last night’s Europa League clash with Maribor is an indication they could be about to do business. The former Rangers and Celtic keeper, above, has still to play a first-team game for Hibs as he fractured his wrist not long after making his January switch from Parkhead.
Brown still has two years left on his contract and Hibs would be looking to recoup around £50,000 if they were to sell him. Meanwhile, controversial Easter Road defender Sol Bamba is considering an offer from former club Paris Saint-Germain.
The French club will lodge a £500,000 bid with Hibs if they can strike an agreement with the player. Bamba, 25, was left behind in Edinburgh to train with the kids after he reported back late from World Cup duty.
