Adlene Guedioura: Algeria will fight
ALGERIA'S Adlene Guedioura has promised the side will show more fight against England in Cape Town on Friday.
Wolves midfielder Guedioura was a late substitute in the 1-0 loss to Slovenia on Sunday which left Algeria, in their first World Cup for 24 years, likely to have to beat England and the USA to progress.
Hopes of victory against Slovenia were hit by the sending-off of substitute Abdelkader Ghezzal, but Guedioura says they can put it behind them.
“It was a disappointing performance because we didn’t deserve to lose,” he said.
“Now we have two big matches and we have to be focused for England. Every game now is a fight and we need points against England so that we can get points in this group.”
