England Women keeper Mary Earps mirrors David Seaman's Ronaldinho gaffe in World Cup
England goalkeeper Mary Earps suffered a horror moment during the World Cup clash with Colombia.
England and Colombia fans get ready for their World Cup quarter-final clash
Earps had enjoyed a wonderful tournament prior to England's quarter-final against the South American outfit. But she had a moment to forget as the clock ticked towards half-time.
In the 44th minute, Santos' cross appeared to be heading harmlessly towards Earps. However, the Manchester United shot-stopper seemed to be back-peddling in an apparent sign that she had been caught out of position.
The ball flew over Earps' head and nestled in the top corner. It gave Colombia a 1-0 lead despite England largely having the better of the last-eight clash.

ITV's pundits felt Earps was at fault. However, they also felt that left-wing-back Rachel Daly could have done better to close down the Colombian attacker.
Eni Aluko said: “It’s a cross, an unexpected cross. You see the way she digs it out, Daly’s expecting the player to take it down the line.
“That affects Earps. You have to question Earps’ positioning. She’s expecting Santos to go down the line and she hasn’t adjusted her positioning.”
Karen Carney added: “It goes back to the Rachel Daly question - is she a forward or a wing-back? Is it too easy for Santos to get down the line? For Earps, her positioning isn’t quite right. Earps has got to do better.”

Things almost immediately improved for England, though, with them equalising following another goalkeeping error. Deep into stoppage time, Colombia shot-stopper Catalina Perez failed to hold into a low cross.
Perez collided with her own defender, allowing the ball to squirm through her grasp. Lauren Hemp was on hand to equalise to bail out Earps.
England had conceded just one goal at the tournament before the 27-year-old Santos' fluke gave Colombia the lead. The strike was the first Sarina Wiegman's side had conceded in open play - China's goal in their 6-1 defeat to England came from the penalty spot.
