Man Utd may have less than £20m left after completing two deals as 'transfer funds' leaked
Man Utd are hoping to complete several signings this summer.
Andre Onana linked with Man Utd and Chelsea move
Manchester United may have less than £20million of their original transfer budget remaining after just two deals this summer. The Red Devils are reportedly close to signing Mason Mount and could target Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund in a bid to boost Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Ten Hag is keen to bolster his ranks this summer and has already identified several targets. Chelsea star Mount is widely expected to join over the coming weeks once a fee is agreed with United’s Premier League rivals.
Mount was eyed as part of a drive to improve United’s midfield, while forward Hojlund will lift the scoring burden from the shoulders of Marcus Rashford. The Danish starlet struck just nine times in Serie A last season but has already scored nine times in just nine caps for his country.
However, both of those deals will reportedly slash a large chunk of United’s transfer budget. The Red Devils could end up paying a combined fee of £130m for the pair, with Old Trafford chiefs supposedly being quoted an eye-watering £70m for Mount.

According to ESPN, United had an original transfer budget of up to £150m. However, that figure is set to be boosted by any fees they receive for stars who leave the club this summer.
The initial budget is set to be almost entirely depleted if Mount and Hojlund are signed, though. Wide-ranging reports suggest Chelsea have demanded between £60-70m for the England star.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, reports that Atalanta want £60m for the 20-year-old Hojlund. If the duo are signed, United may have already spent around £130m on their first two deals.

Ten Hag is desperate for a mini overhaul of his squad this summer. Plenty of upgrades are needed if United are to challenge rivals Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool for trophies next season.
Midfield and attack are the main areas of concern, with potential moves for Mount and Hojlund covering both positions. However, there will also be reinforcements in defence and a replacement signed for goalkeeper David De Gea.
United are reported to have targeted Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana as an alternative to De Gea, whose contract is set to expire later this month. According to MEN, some figures at the club want to “move on” entirely from the Spaniard, who has been offered a new contract but will almost certainly be the second-choice goalkeeper if he remains next season.
