Liverpool 'decide two players' they want to spend majority of Jude Bellingham cash on
Liverpool can secure two transfer targets and still have funds spare after dropping out of the Jude Bellingham picture.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reviews Brentford game
Liverpool have reportedly decided on two players they will pursue in the summer transfer window after bowing out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. Jurgen Klopp is eyeing an exciting duo, and he'll have funds spare for a third with the fee it would've taken to recruit the 19-year-old.
Liverpool were previously considered favourites to sign Bellingham this summer ahead of a midfield revamp at Anfield.
But the Reds withdrew their interest in April, and the £130million-rated England international is now on the verge of joining Real Madrid.
Klopp is still expected to be busy, though, and strong links to Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister refuse to go away.
He has emerged as Liverpool's midfield priority, with Fabrizio Romano claiming a potential deal is advancing after they lodged a bid and held talks with the World Cup winner's camp.
Reports suggest £60m will be enough to lure Mac Allister from the Amex Stadium, more than half of the fee Dortmund demanded for Bellingham.

But midfield isn't the only area Klopp is said to be looking to bolster ahead of next season.
French outlet Le Parisien report that Liverpool are competing with Ligue 1 champions to sign Sporting Club centre-back Goncalo Ignacio.
It's claimed that the Merseyside giants are in talks over the 21-year-old Portugal international.
And Sporting will request at least £40m to part ways with him after an impressive campaign.
Securing Mac Allister and Ignacio's services for a combined £100m would leave Klopp plenty of room for further additions.

The German coach will be keen on adding more than one midfielder to his ranks ahead of a trifecta of exits.
James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to depart Anfield on free transfers, leaving Liverpool short of depth.
With Europa League football likely next season, barring an astonishing last-gasp top-four finish, Klopp needs numbers.
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise whatsoever that Bellingham was a commodity that Liverpool simply had to pass on.
