Arsenal boss Arteta has hinted who he will drop between Jesus and Trossard at Liverpool
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may have already decided who he will leave out from his attacking options at Liverpool.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hinted who he will drop between Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard at Liverpool on Sunday. It will likely be a straight shootout between both players to start up front at Anfield.
Jesus started his first Premier League match since returning from injury in last Saturday's 4-1 win over Leeds at the Emirates. The Brazilian scored twice during the hour he was on the pitch.
Trossard started the game from the right, with Gabriel Martinelli in his usual position on the left. Trossard has proven to be a shrewd January signing by Arteta, already contributing seven assists for his new club.
Bukayo Saka is back fit following his illness and is almost certain to come back into the starting XI. Martinelli is in fine form of his own and has given Liverpool the run around in recent meetings between the two teams.

Jesus and Trossard are therefore set to fight it out for the same spot. And Arteta has hinted that it will be Trossard who gets the nod.
The Belgian scored a hat-trick at Anfield earlier in the season for Brighton. Arsenal are looking for their first win away at Liverpool in the league since 2012.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta admitted that Trossard's previous performance is exactly the confidence he needs from his players heading to a ground they don't have a good record at.
Arteta said: "It’s great to have a player that has experienced something really nice and positive in that stadium and was a crucial player on that day. It was a beautiful game to watch and that’s what we need, players with a lot of belief on that pitch that we can go there and win it."

Jesus would not be best pleased to see himself drop to the bench on Sunday. He said after the victory over Leeds that he was disappointed to be taken off.
Jesus told Arsenal media: "Obviously, every player wants to play the full 90 minutes, I think I’m ready to play more minutes.
"When the ref said to me I was going off, I was a little bit disappointed because I want to play, but of course I respect the manager and the other players as well. So, it was 60 minutes, but I enjoyed it a lot."
