Football fans are in the box...Qatar's £239-a-night World Cup cabins
These are the £230-a-night "shoeboxes" which will be home to thousands of football fans during the World Cup. Qatar's tourism chiefs unveiled the cabins - complete with two single beds, toilet and shower - at a supporters' village near Doha airport.

The brightly coloured rooms have air-conditioning - vital in the 90F (32C) temperatures - but have thin walls and are connected by walkways carpeted with artificial grass. The site includes a restaurant and convenience store, plus a metro station and bus stop for the 40-minute journey to the venues.
