Thierry Henry singles out four Arsenal players as he changes tune on Mikel Arteta's side
THIERRY HENRY has given his verdict on the current Arsenal side.
Arsenal great Thierry Henry has singled out four players who are behind the club's resurgence this season. The legendary former striker has also changed his overall opinion on Mikel Arteta's side.
Arsenal won their first five Premier League matches of the campaign before Sunday's 3-1 loss at Manchester United. The Gunners still sit top of the table heading into this weekend's action.
Summer signing Gabriel Jesus has earned plenty of plaudits since his arrival. William Saliba has also taken to English football like a duck to water following his three loan spells away from Arsenal.
The duo have impressed Henry, along with captain Martin Odegaard and England winger Bukayo Saka. The quartet have led to Henry believing in his old team again after recently questioning the direction they were heading under Arteta.

The Frenchman told CBS Sports: “What happened at the weekend – I was expecting a lot from the team but it was always going to be difficult against Manchester United, who are now a lot better than from what happened to them at the beginning of the season. I was expecting us to come out with a win, it didn’t happen, Man United deserved it.
“[But] the team is different. When you get the likes of Gabriel Jesus you get William Saliba back, that can allow you to play higher, and Martin Odegaard the way he is right now and still Bukayo Saka.
“What it is with Gabriel Jesus is he knows how to win, he won, he’s bringing that into the team and you can see it. Having said that, the way we beat Fulham and the way we beat Aston Villa, we were a bit emotional at times on the bench and in the stadium, there was a lot of up and down.
“But I believe. I haven’t believed like this for a very long time that we can do something.”

Arsenal begin their Europa League campaign this evening away to FC Zurich. But Henry is concerned at the lack of depth in Arteta's squad, which could hamper them later in the season.
He added: “I worry about the Europa League. Why? Because of the depth of the team.
“The starting XI is good enough, but when you’re going to those games during what is a long season, it might be a bit much.
"I can see a team and a togetherness, and I like that. I’m worried [about the World Cup as well], as a coach it's how you're going to cope with how those players are going to come back from the World Cup.
“Are you doing a pre-season? What are you going to do with the players who have stayed? How are they going to come back mentally? Physically? That’s going to be a tough one."
