Diogo Jota has been spotted on crutches as he faces a race against time to play the Carabao Cup final after scan results showed the Liverpool star's injury is worse than first feared. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the 2-0 Champions League last-16 first leg win over Inter Milan on Wednesday that Jota had suffered damage around the ankle ligaments. However, Klopp claimed the issue "didn't seem serious".

Jota has already been ruled out of the match against Norwich but will work with the club's medical staff in an attempt for him to be fit to play Chelsea.
Liverpool are aiming to win their first domestic cup competition under Klopp.
The Reds have plenty of other options if Jota is unavailable.
Firmino scored the opener against Inter on Wednesday with a fine header.
January signing Luis Diaz has also hit the ground running following his arrival from Porto.

But Jota will be a big miss and was recently labelled one of the best strikers in the world on current form by Arsenal legend Ray Parlour.
“What he’s done since Salah and Mane have been away, Jota, has been unbelievable,” Parlour said on talkSPORT.
“I think he’s the best No 9 at the moment. He’s been absolutely sensational since they lost Mane and Salah.
“I like his work rate, the way he conducts himself every game, the goals he scores and I think he’s going to get better.”
