Liverpool are 'actively' trying to sell Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, according to reports. Mane and Firmino are two parts of the famous Liverpool attacking trio which has spearheaded the club's Champions League and Premier League success in the last three years. But it appears their time at Anfield could be coming towards an end.

"They're doing this for two reasons. One: because the three players are coming to a stage in their career where their value will only decrease because of their age.
"But also because Salah is the only one that is performing at a level consistently that can justify the kind of contract that he and his representatives are asking for.
"Therefore, selling one of the other two will make that a lot more credible with regards to funding the Salah contract, as well as the fact of course they are actively recruiting younger players as well."

McGarry's podcast co-host Duncan Castles says the form of Jota as well as the signing of Luis Diaz has made it easier for Liverpool to sell either Mane or Firmino.
Castles said: "They are now actively marketing two of the players now they have Diogo Jota well established in the line-up and now that they've recruited Luis Diaz from Porto.
"It strengthens their hand in that it puts pressure on Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, it weakens those two players' negotiating position in terms of trying to get a renewal should they not find a club they want to go to."
