Fabio Carvalho was not convinced Liverpool were the right club for him, according to reports. Carvalho came close to joining Liverpool on transfer deadline day. However, the deal fell through at the last minute as the Reds ran out of time.

Championship clubs are not permitted to use deal sheets like Premier League teams, so Fulham could not ask for an extension and therefore the deal collapsed.
But, according to Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window podcast, there was more to it than met the eye.
He claims Carvalho's reservations about joining Liverpool contributed to the delay in the transfer getting done.
Castles said: "One version of events that I've heard is that Carvalho, who's represented primarily by his brother, passed a medical on Monday night and then had cold feet about signing the contract, had reservations that Liverpool was the right place for him to go and held off long enough that the deal fell through.

"Why did the deal fall through? Because Liverpool left it late in the day to get official permission to speak to Fabio Carvalho.
"He had to take his medical rapidly, they had to agree a contract for him to go to Liverpool and they also had to do the paperwork on him being loaned back to Fulham."
Carvalho has seven goals and four assists to his name in 18 Championship appearances this season.
The attacking midfielder, who could choose to play internationally for England or Portugal, was back in training with the Cottagers this week.
And his head coach Marco Silva didn't notice any difference in his behaviour after the failed move to Anfield.
