Arteta reflects on 'unpleasant situation' as Aubameyang stripped of Arsenal captaincy
Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has delivered a savage response to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following the striker's comments about his departure. Aubameyang left Arsenal on transfer deadline day to join Barcelona. The 32-year-old had been frozen out by Mikel Arteta after a string of disciplinary issues.
Arsenal cancelled Aubameyang's contract and he signed for Barca on a free transfer.
The Gabon international, who will wear the No 25 shirt, was unveiled by the La Liga giants on Thursday.
At a press conference, Aubameyang was asked about his exit from Arsenal.
And he said the only issue he had in north London was with his former boss.

"My last few months at Arsenal were complicated, that's football sometimes," Aubameyang said.
"For my part, I never wanted to do anything wrong. My problem was only with Arteta. I can't say much more, I wasn't happy."
However, Dixon clearly is not bothered that Aubameyang has left his former club.
Dixon, who won three league titles in three separate decades as an Arsenal player, replied to a tweet of Aubameyang's quotes, simply putting: "I don’t care".
